Why Fiber?

Speed that will make your old Internet feel like dial-up

Optical fiber is hundreds of times faster than DSL, cable or wireless systems. And while the cable and phone companies’ networks may be partially fiber, the Phynx network is fiber all the way to your home. That means no bottlenecks or slowdowns can occur like they do when data reaches the copper technology that the other guys are using to deliver the signal to your residence.

Better Internet Reliability

Fiber-optic is generally considered more reliable than cable. A fiber-optic network is a passive system, which means that during power outages, a fiber-optic network is less likely to be interrupted or go down. Also, because the conductor is glass, it does not generate electricity, so fiber is immune to interference that can be caused by nearby power lines or high-voltage electrical equipment. Plus, with fiber-optic, there is less chance of your computer sustaining lightning-related damage.

Phynx is local and service-oriented.
